First, let’s get to know each other! You can send through a request for a sample edit of the first 10 pages of your manuscript and/or we have a free discovery conversation to discuss your project, what you’re looking for, and answer any questions you have about the process. It also lets us get a feel for each other and see if we’d be a good fit to work together!

Next, we choose the timeframe for the edits to be completed, both sign the editing contract, and you pay a deposit. (multiple payment plan options available)

You submit your completed manuscript by the deadline specified, along with a style sheet if you have one. If you don’t have a style sheet, we’ll make one for your project together!

I read your manuscript closely, analyzing it’s plot, pacing, character development, cohesiveness, logic, and themes. In-line comments are added to the manuscript as I read through.

I write a comprehensive editorial letter, highlighting what is already working well in your novel, areas that could use additional development to strengthen your story, and my suggested next steps.

I return both your manuscript with edits and your editorial letter, and we book our first coaching call for one week later to discuss the letter and my comments. The first call is also a great time for you to ask any questions about my feedback or, if time allows, we can do additional brainstorming together.

You book our second coaching call anytime within 3 months of your manuscript being returned. We can discuss any issues you’re facing during re-writes and brainstorm ideas, further dive into the feedback from the editorial letter, ways to tap into your creative process, or any other writing topics you want to talk about!
